In an unfortunate series of events at the 2015 Houston Supercross, both the leading riders of the second 250 heat race ate dirt on the opening lap.
Zach Osborne accidentally drifts sideways in a rhythm lane just as Malcolm Stewart is attempting to line up an inside move.
This causes Stewart’s Geico Honda to land into the back tire of Osborne, sending the Floridian face planting into the face of the next jump, and his bike tumbling into the adjacent section of track.
Osborne continues with his race for one corner until he surprisingly lands directly on top of Stewart’s downed motorcycle.
Both riders escaped their respective crashes without serious injury and went on to qualify for the main event.
It doesn’t get much tougher in the world of dirt bikes than racing AMA Supercross.
