This cutaway view of an overhead cam and its valvetrain doing their thang is AMAZING! Here is the finely tuned overhead cam of a 193 horsepower BMWS1000RR Superbike’s spinning something fierce at 14,000 revolutions per minute.
These kinds of videos of up close and personal views of amazing machines working are some of my favorite.
Think about how many revolutions 14K per minute actually is: broken down that is 118 revolutions per second for this superbike’s cam and valvetrain.
